The Block 2022 Week 6 Guest Bedroom and Bathroom Reveals Recap
This week we saw some amazing results for the contestants’ guest bedrooms and bathrooms. Missed the episode? No worries – check out our recap below!
The Block 2022 Week 6 – Tom and Sarah (House 1)
The talented contestants at House 1, Tom and Sarah-Jane blew all three judges’ minds with their guest bedroom and bathroom reveal this week. It only took Shaynna seconds to walk into the guest bedroom to comment ‘my heart.’ Darren followed with ‘yum I love it.’ The detail of the checkered wallpaper really complimented the gold bedside tables and bed frames. The drapes attached to compliment the big opening of the windows by Thermotek were the perfect choice to take in all that view Gisborne had to offer.
The talent in the guest bedroom was phenomenal and was continued straight into their bathroom also. We loved seeing how elegantly the guest bathroom was showcased with light colours to compliment the gorgeous black frames of their triple glazed windows from Thermotek, which allowed the bathroom to really pop out its lighter colour scheme. We couldn’t agree more with Shaynnas comment ‘ I love it.’
Congratulations to Tom and Sarah-Jane it was a well-deserved win this week again!
The Block 2022 Week 6 – Rachael and Ryan (House 2)
What Racheal and Ryan at House 2 did not want to hear this week was that their choices were boring, bland or had no personality. Did they achieve this in their guest bedroom reveal? Neal’s concerns were that the room did not have ‘that wow factor,’ and that ‘everything needs to be grander.’ In his opinion, having smaller furniture did not compliment the guest bedroom. Luckily for House 2 their bathroom reveal did have some more positive feedback! Neal was much more satisfied and felt their bathroom was definitely a ‘luxury room’, very magazine worthy – and all three judges agreed.
The choice of complimenting their black bathtub with black window frames for their Thermotek triple glazed windows was a phenomenal choice to have in the bathroom. Luckily for House 2 all three judges concluded that while the guest bedroom was timid the bathroom was full of impact! Well done Rachael and Ryan, although the feedback for their guest bedroom was less than ideal, their bathroom had many compliments placing House 2 fourth on the ladder this week.
The Block 2022 Week 6 – Ankur and Sharon (House 3)
Ankur and Sharon at House 5 expressed that they didn’t have enough time to paint and were super worried the judges would pick up on this yet again this week. Unfortunately, Darren quickly noticed that their guest bedroom was a result of panic – from the paint not being finished to the cupboards not being cleaned out. On a positive note, House 5 showed what a bay window should look like – Darren complimented the team by mentioning that they have shown that curtains work with inner bay windows, unlike House 4 on last week’s episode. Ankur and Sharon placing the large windows right near the inner bay windows were a great idea to shed some light into their guest bedroom as well as allow the beautiful view to be seen.
The judges agreed that the shutters were all heaven in their bathroom but unfortunately, the way it was again presented was not their best decision.
House 3 was rushed and didn’t quite deliver what the judges expected this week and sadly was placed last this week. Good luck to House 3 next week.
The Block 2022 Week 6 – Dylan and Jenny – (House 4)
It was all about the views that praised Dylan and Jenny in House 4 this week. Daryn couldn’t take his eye off the idea of the big glass window doors from Thermotek and being able to wander off to the deck and look at the beautiful plateau that he is completely in love with. The curtains were great to add to the gorgeous window doors.
Heading to their bathroom, the beautifully designed black window frames really complimented the two feature walls. The only letdown for Shaynna was that the bathtub was shoved in the corner and should have been more centred on the amount of space they had. Shayna described that it would be more enjoyable to be in this bathtub if she was able to face her head to the window by Thermotek. Jenny disagreed with Shaynna’s view by asking ‘where do you put a bathtub other than the corner of the bathroom?’. Whose view do you agree with more?
We do wonder if it wasn’t for the positioning of the bathtub if House 4 could they have been higher than 3rd on the ladder this week?
The Block 2022 Week 6 – Omar and Oz (House 5)
House 5 -Omar and Oz started off the week with several struggles. Firstly their tiler having covid and even worse – having their tiles mistakenly been sent to House 4. Did this stop Omar and Oz from losing their well-known title ‘bathroom kings’? It definitely did not! Having their white framed triple glazed windows from Thermotek situated smack bang in the middle of their shower to incorporate a macro terrazzo tile was stupendous. Neal was extremely impressed with the boy’s work for numerous reasons. Neal felt as though he was in Japan, not Country Victoria. The boys’ room had plenty of light beaming in by situating their vision around the Thermotek windows which really gave it the zen vibe.
House 5 was so close but just missed out and came second this week.
