Winterise Your Windows Today With 0% Interest-Free Payment Plans, Powered by Brighte

Installing sustainable, high-performance windows just got easier. Thermotek is partnering with Brighte to offer clients 0% Interest Payment Plans for up to $30,000 on energy-efficient window and door systems.

Energy efficiency has become a critical factor in designing and constructing new buildings in Australia, as well as major renovations. It’s now a key requirement of the National Construction Code (NCC), with all new builds, including apartment buildings, required to achieve 7 NatHERS stars in energy efficiency, and a strong Whole-of-Home Rating in sustainability. When it comes to designing green buildings, windows play a pivotal role, as they are one of the key points of heat exchange and loss. High-performance windows such as those manufactured by Thermotek are able to minimise heat loss and make traditional, costly heating and cooling methods obsolete.

0% Interest on Repayments Makes Sustainable Design Accessible

The new TK 0% Interest Payment Plans are powered by Brighte and available on purchases of window and door systems up to $30,000, with the ability to spread repayments over 6-60 months. TK Green Loans of up to $45,000 are also available through Brighte at a low annual interest rate.

This fantastic new partnership brings high-quality systems within reach of a wider audience of homeowners, with the added benefits of significant long-term savings on energy bills and increased comfort.

How Do Thermotek Window and Door Systems Optimise Homes?

Thermotek windows are engineered in Germany and manufactured in Australia, crafted for outstanding thermal performance. They harness innovative technologies and sustainable materials that mean long-term energy efficiency.
Features such as advanced glazing systems, uPVC frames, and airtight seals create a thermal barrier between a home and the elements.

Let’s take a deeper look at the benefits and long-term cost savings of using a TK 0% Interest Payment Plan or Green Loan to invest in Thermotek windows.

Multiple Glazing Layers

One of the standout features of Thermotek window and door systems is the use of multiple glazing layers. Unlike conventional single-pane windows, these windows incorporate double or even triple-pane configurations. Each glass pane is separated by an insulating gas, which helps minimise heat transfer through conduction. The result is a substantial reduction in heat loss during winter and heat gain during summer.

Low-Emissivity (Low-E) Coatings

Thermotek windows are also equipped with Low-Emissivity (Low-E) coatings, a microscopically thin layer applied to the glazing surface.

The Low-E coating acts as a selective filter, allowing visible light to pass through while reflecting infrared radiation. This feature ensures that indoor heat remains inside during winter and blocks outside heat from entering during summer.

As a bonus, Low-E coatings also protect against harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, reducing fading of furniture and fabrics.

Thermally Efficient uPVC Frames

While the glazing and coating of a windowpane is critical for energy efficiency, the frame of a window can also significantly impact its overall thermal performance. That’s why Thermotek uses thermally efficient uPVC in its window frames.

uPVC, short for ‘unplasticised’ polyvinyl chloride, distinguishes itself from traditional PVC by eliminating the need for chemical plasticisers during its production. Instead, it is composed of robust impact modifiers and fillers, providing it with exceptional strength and toughness.

During the manufacturing process, uPVC forms long, spaghetti-like polymer strands that intertwine, fortifying the material. The addition of impact modifiers further enhances the bond between these strands. This means that anything crafted from uPVC, such as window and door frames, will show remarkable resistance against accidental damage as well as weather elements.

uPVC’s sustainability is further enhanced by a unique characteristic. Each time it undergoes the recycling process, it gains additional strength, typically around 6% stronger after the first recycling, and although the subsequent recycling increments are smaller, it still undergoes reinforcement during the next four or five recycling cycles.

The combination of these qualities results in uPVC being an impressively hard and tough material, surpassing the durability of traditional PVC. In fact, its surface hardness is comparable to that of aluminium, rendering it an ideal and long-lasting choice for windows and doors.

In addition, it doesn’t need to be thermally broken like aluminium. uPVC frames are non-conductive, effectively preventing high temperatures during the hot months and reducing the reliance on air conditioning. When combined with double and triple glazing, the need for air conditioning might even be completely negated.

Airtightness

To maximise energy efficiency, Thermotek window and door systems are equipped with advanced sealing mechanisms, which increase airtightness against external elements like air, wind, and rain. With an innovative sealing and locking mechanism – without brushes – they ensure that a living space remains protected.

These airtight seals prevent air leakage and water infiltration, ensuring that the indoor environment remains consistently comfortable. By eliminating drafts and cold spots, homeowners can reduce their reliance on heating systems, leading to substantial energy savings.

The concealed hardware not only creates a beautiful aesthetic; but it also reduces maintenance requirements, contributing to the long-term durability of Thermotek window-door systems.

Insulation

Outstanding insulation plays a crucial role in creating an effective barrier between the interior climate, whether heated or cooled and the external environment. This results in enhanced comfort and a reduction in condensation by preventing the formation of cold surfaces.

Thermotek windows provide exceptional insulation thanks to the gap between the two panes. This serves as a primary source of thermal resistance and slows down heat transfer via conduction. The windows minimise air circulation, thus reducing heat loss during winter and heat gain during summer.

During colder months, as chilly air encounters the first windowpane, it does not penetrate the indoor space but instead encounters the gas residing between the panes. By the time it reaches the second pane, its freezing-cold intensity has significantly diminished. Thus, a steady temperature is maintained within the home and the need for heating is significantly reduced.

Enhanced Comfort and Noise Reduction

By maintaining a stable indoor temperature, Thermotek window, and door systems create a highly comfortable living environment. Occupants can enjoy a consistent climate year-round without experiencing uncomfortable temperature fluctuations.

The multi-layered glazing system also provides excellent noise insulation, reducing external disturbances and creating a calm indoor atmosphere.
